Applications of Stainless Steel Strapping

Stainless steel banding comes in several types and sizes with different functions for various industrial and civil applications. These straps or bands may not be something you've noticed before, but they are used in different settings around you. These technologically-advanced, but essentially simple tools, are highly versatile, can endure a range of natural elements, and are used in commercial, structural, and engineering applications.

 

Stainless steel straps vary in width, strength, thickness, and corrosion resistance to ensure durability and long-lasting purpose. Some types are less expensive, more resistant to corrosion, and are made of stronger steel alloy to withstand environmental abuse. These straps use the resilience and strength of stainless steel to affix and secure different items for safety and security.

 

These modern products of technology are generally used in attaching items to poles, such as cameras, antennae, and signs. These are commonly seen in civil enterprises like stop signs, traffic signals, or in industrial compounds. Stainless steel bands are also used in securing fencing onto posts, insulation on pipes, and fastening several items together, like cables and pilings.

 

Since these are made from state-of-the-art manufacturing procedures, stainless steel straps may also be used to secure industrial hose in environments that are corrosive to other materials. Agricultural work, for example, requires heavy-duty hoses for irrigation that can be tied together with bands to resist corrosion caused by sprays, trickles, and leakages, and thus serves as a durably effective tool.

 

Because of their structural strength and durability, stainless steel bands are also commonly used to secure underwater cables. The government includes these steel straps and stainless steel strapping tool in their damage control kits to perform emergency repairs on naval vehicles. Strapping tools are designed to patch damaged underwater pipes and to secure other components in case of naval emergencies.

 

These high tensile, heavy duty stainless steel straps are also commonly used in securing signage, especially those fastened in circular sign poles. The straps surround the poles so there's no need to pierce through poles to secure the signs. This also helps the pole to last long because it serves as reinforcement and increases durability.
